MOTHER

MOTHER is a feature project that explores the desire for motherhood, caregiving, aging, and the bonds between mothers and daughters, from an intimate, honest gaze free of idealization.

She is a filmmaker and actress. She wrote and directed the feature film La cama (The Bed), which premiered at Berlinale 2018 (Best Director Award at the Mar del Plata Film Festival), as well as three previous short films: Rosa (Cannes 2010), María (Rotterdam 2013), and Emilia (Bafici, Viennale 2014). As an actress, she has performed in theater, television, and more than 30 films, and has received numerous awards. Among them, the ACE Award for Best Female Newcomer in theater, the Sur Award from the Film Academy for Best Supporting Actress, and, in the same category, the Cóndor de Plata Award given by the Association of Film Critics, on two occasions. She is General Producer of the international festival Infinito Super 8.
