Synopsis

Accustomed to performing their duties in the strictest silence, here they raise their voices to share their stories and show us how they see life through their eyes and uniforms.

 

Lola Arias
Director

Lola Arias is a writer, theatre and film director, recipient of the IBSEN AWARD in 2024. She is a multifaceted artist who brings together people from different backgrounds (war veterans, former communists, migrant children, etc.) in theatre, film, and visual art projects. Her theater work was presented at the most prestigious festivals in the world.

Her first feature film, Theatre of War (2018), was selected for the 68th Forum of the Berlinale Film Festival and received several prizes, including the CICAE Art Cinema Award, the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury, the Best Director Award at the 20th BAFICI and the Movistar+ Prize for Best Documentary at Documenta Madrid.
