The opening film for the 26th edition of the Mar del Plata Film Festival will be ¡Vivan las Antípodas! (2011), a coproduction between Argentina, Chile, Germany and Netherlands. The film was directed by the awarded Russian helmer Victor Kossakovsky who will be present during the Festival. The film creates powerful images to tell stories of people who live in antipodical places in the world: Argentina and China, Chile and Russia, Hawaii (USA) and Botswana and New Zealand and Spain.  Victor Kossakovsky will be one of the important figures at the seaside resort.
